Walkabout

Desert Pea Media is a charitable organisation established in 2002, working with Indigenous young people and communities in regional and remote areas of Australia. Their collaborative projects utilise contemporary storytelling techniques and audio-visual media to facilitate important social and cultural dialogue. As part of a CBF grant funded project I travelled with DPM to high schools and communities in Northern New South Wales capturing audio from participants to share the story behind the hip hop lyrics and the important messages embedded in the work.
