Basics Course - Radio
For the absolute beginners, dreamers, planners and procrastinators. This 8-week in-person course is to be held at BayFM in Byron as of 2025.
It offers an in-depth overview to get you started in radio broadcasting.
Includes structuring a show, concept and design, studio and field recordings, basic editing, scripting, presenting, media law and so much more. It includes a session in the studios offering an introduction to the panel and time to have a play.

BASICS
Pod-Class
Take a deeper look at shaping your content and ideas into a podcast format, episode or series. Ideal if you enjoy learning and sharing with likeminded creators.
This 6-week stage-by-stage approach includes concept planning and development, project management, talent booking and scheduling, interviewing, recording, production, and audio distribution.​​​
You will complete a single episode by the end of this course.

PODCASTS
Masterclasses
This 4-hour hands-on, demo style Masterclass is open to the curious, the creative, and those keen to explore the possibilities of podcast creation and implementation.
This is a group environment with a planned theme, so you can instantly participate in the creation of a group podcast from start to finish.
Includes concept and planning, recording, tech tips, script writing, basic editing, and audio distribution.
Be prepared to use your voice and contribute to this collaborative class project!
No experience needed.
All participants will receive a link to the podcast in post-production.

Every component of content creation can be taught as an individual 1- or 2-day workshop.
Whether it's creative editing, interviewing guests, understanding tech, script writing, voice technique, producing promos for socials, or if you're simply stuck on how to turn your idea into a show format, there are workshops tailored to these specific topics.
The workshops are intensives and focus on one element of podcasting at a time. They are hands on with lots of practical activities and well-placed breaks.​​

​​If the only thing stopping you from embarking on your audio adventure is lack of professional equipment and a cool, quiet studio space to work from then here is your solution.
Housed within Airship Studios we offer an air-conditioned purpose-built podcast and film studio, as well as a four-person editing suite and the grand teaching table in our labyrinth of learning.
You can use one of two Rodecaster Pros, as well as recording equipment, film gear, props, decor, lighting and tech professionals for your video or podcast project.
